Just some random thoughts (from Todd):
We got an email alert from the US Embassy some days ago about a demonstration planned at a university in Kiev by the "Patriots of Ukraine." Pretty cool that our Embassy is taking good care of us by letting us know this was going on, what the group stands for, and how to avoid problems. Yeah, USA! Now, the Patriots of Ukraine is a neo-nazi group. I do not find it at all to be coincidence that when the subject "Demonstration planned in Kiev" came up on my email it was shortened to "Demons..." The message as to who these people were respresenting was very clear.
It is amazing how God has been with us during this whole journey. Just today I commented to Anne that each family we have met has been placed with a child that is so much like them. Alina is non-stop, energetic, a dare-devil. The Dickinsons have a little girl who is a bit more reserved and it just as content reading a book as she is walking around the yard while their little guy prefers to sit in Wayne's lap. The Guatamalan couple we met today is adopting siblings, both of whom have become very attached to their new parents. They are both darker complected, like their parents. And the Powell's seem smitten with Reese, so there will be an awesome fit there, too. We all opened our hearts to what we were called to do and God provided for us. Awesome.
More later. It's time to go play with Alina now.

It has been so interesting reading about your journey. We can't wait until you all get home and we get to meet Alina. Mom send a package to the rest of your family that will arrive Thursday
We got that alert as well! Thanks for having us register online! :) I agree how awesome it is that all of our kids fit in our family so well. Reese is so much like our Darah. At this point, she seems like she's very observant like Darah {and Daddy!!} God is so good and I'm so amazed at how this small act of obedience and trust has already brought so much blessing in our lives! We are so happy we got to meet you guys and walk through this amazing journey together! We're going to email you with DJ's itinerary once he's called Eldon today to book his return flight. While we're so happy to be home, we really miss Ukraine and especially Reese and almost feel like we didn't get enough time there. Give Alina a kiss for us!
